Introducing the Pop-O-Pot™:

Since the 1920’s four generations of Zanggers have been involved in the development and production of popcorn in Nebraska.  During this time the popcorn industry has seen many changes including the development of farmer and consumer friendly popcorn varieties, and the use of the microwave for making popcorn at home.

Over the years Charles (Chuck) Zangger has developed new and exciting popcorn varieties but he always felt that consumers must return to an
involvement with the preparation and cooking of popcorn at home.
With this goal in mind, he has created the Pop-O-Pot™.  Using a
particular type of clay found in the mountains of Chile each Pop-O-Pot™ is handcrafted by POMAIREWARE® CLAY PRODUCTS and is ideal for making popcorn in your microwave!  Best of all, it allows you to make your favorite popcorn with the oil you choose.

Instructions for using the Pop-O-Pot
Remove lid
Add 2½ to 3 Tablespoons of oil
Add 1/3 cup of popcorn  (makes approx. 2 servings)
Put lid on and place in microwave. Cook on high for 4-6 minutes or until there is 3 seconds between pops.
Remove Pop-O-Pot™ using hot pads and pour into a bowl. Enjoy!
BE CAREFUL the Pop-O-Pot GETS VERY HOT!!!
—————————————————————————————
· Consecutive batches of popcorn take approx. 3 minutes due to the heat retention of the pot.  Handle carefully the pot and lid will be hot!
· We recommend using Olive Oil, Corn Oil, Vegetable Oil, Peanut Oil, or Popcorn Popping Oil. Other oils may give an unpleasant smell or taste to your popcorn.
· You may add salt, butter or margarine to your popcorn prior to cooking or after you have transferred it to a bowl.
· Cooking times may vary depending on microwave wattage, and age of microwave.
· DO NOT use the Pop-O-Pot™ to make popcorn on stovetop or in oven.
· To make a smaller portion use 2 to 2½ Tbsp oil and 1/4 cup of popcorn.
· To make a larger portion use 4 Tbsp oil and 1/2 cup of popcorn (this will fill the pot)

Cleaning/Care of the Pop-O-Pot

· When pot is cool, wipe inside with damp cloth.  Store with lid.
· Dishwasher is not recommended since some soaps leave a residue.
· Do not use abrasive cleaners.  If something is burnt on, let the pot soak in hot, soapy water and then scrub.
· Handle with care. The Pop-O-Pot™ is made of clay and can break.
· The Pop-O-Pot™ may darken over time.  This is normal.
